Reflections

CALLING ALL LISCANO ARTISTS: It's time to unleash your creativity!

Each year, more than 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 across the nation create original works of art for National PTA’s Reflections program. Local winners have the opportunity to move up through the district, region, council and state PTA programs to the national level. National Reflections winners are announced in May and celebrated at National PTA’s Convention & Expo in June. National PTA then collects and curates the traveling exhibit for the next year.

For 50 years, National PTA’s Reflections program has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

HOW TO ENTER

All artwork should reflect this year's Look Within theme and may be submitted in the following categories by October 30:

  • Dance Choreography
  • Film Production
  • Literature
  • Music Composition
  • Photography
  • Visual Arts

All participants must review the rules and complete the entry form. Judging will take place at Liscano the first week of November. The top 20% of entries from each category will advance to Frisco ISD Council of PTAs. Top scoring entries from that round will then advance to state, and if further selected, national level competitions.

All winning entries will be recognized at Liscano Live!

Students may begin submitting entries (with the completed entry form) in early October. Please place entries in the Reflections drop-off box in the teachers' workroom.
